Providence Children’s Film Festival Community Jury Night!

November 7, 2019 6:00 pm Griswold House

The Newport Art Museum is thrilled to partner again with the Providence Children’s Film Festival to bring inspiring, engaging, and thought-provoking films for all ages to our community. Hundreds of films are submitted to the festival for consideration from all over the world each year, and PCFF is bringing a selection of 2020 Festival contenders to the Museum looking for our input.

Families are instrumental in selecting the very best films! Join us for a lively evening of watching and reviewing films together. Post-film discussions tease out the successful (and unsuccessful) film elements and are led by Eric Bilodeau, Artistic Director of PCFF.

As a bonus incentive, we’ll be serving delicious pizza! So sharpen up your scoring pencils and we’ll see you there!

Films are suitable for families, adults, and children ages 5 on up.  Parents must accompany children.

6:00 pm Pizza
6:30 pm Jurying of films

This is a free event, but registration is requested.

The Newport Art Museum is pleased to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Providence Children’s Film Festival (PCFF), and the 5th year of our partnership, by becoming an official Film Festival screening location! PCFF presents the best of independent and international children’s cinema to inspire, delight, educate and connect a diverse community of children and families from Rhode Island and throughout New England. The Museum shares PCFF’s belief in the power of film to expand minds and open hearts to the world around us. We are thrilled to partner with PCFF to bring these important films to our community. Whether you’re a child, young adult, parent, educator, film lover, or film professional, there is inspiration and food for thought here. We’ll see you at the Museum!
