Mask Policy

Help us comply with the Governor’s executive order to slow the spread of Covid-19. Starting on Friday, February 11, masks will be recommended for immunocompromised individuals, those who are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination, and anyone who feels more comfortable wearing one. Thank you for supporting us as we continue to present the peace, comfort, and restorative power of artwork in our galleries.

Masks should not be worn by children younger than age two, anyone who has trouble breathing, or anyone who is unable to remove the mask without help. We will follow any future updates from the Governor’s office and make changes to our mask policy in accordance with any new rulings.

Welcome Military Families!

Campus Accessibility

The Newport Art Museum's three-building, three-acre Arts Campus includes the John N. A. Griswold House, the Cushing / Morris Gallery and Newport Art Museum School, located in the Minnie & Jimmy Coleman Center for Creative Studies. All three buildings are accessible to visitors using wheelchairs, walking aids, children's strollers or service animals. Enter our south parking lot from Downing Street, which provides easy access to all Museum buildings and grounds. Ramps on the south side of the Griswold House and the north side of the Cushing / Morris Gallery are accessible via the south parking lot, and provide access to the Griswold Houses' automatic doors.
Service animals as defined by state and federal regulations are welcome in the Museum. Therapy or comfort animals are not allowed.
