Paper Shoe Sculpture Workshop
September 20, 2026 - September 20, 2026
1 session
Sunday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Teaching Artist:
Lisa May Tobin
Inspired by our Play / Pretend exhibition, join teaching artist Lisa May Tobin for a hands-on papermaking and sculpture workshop that transforms everyday footwear into imaginative works of art.
Choose between your favorite style - heels or cowboy boots - and create a handmade paper sculpture that’s both striking and functional. Using beaten plant fibers, students will learn traditional papermaking techniques and apply handmade paper directly onto shoe forms before adding personal embellishments and finishing touches.
All materials are provided. This class is suitable for adults and teens ages 13+.
