Touring the Museum

Our Guided tours are an interactive blend of art, history, cultural context, architecture, and visual literacy, ensuring an unforgettable Museum experience for any age. Learn about Maud Howe Elliott and Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, two of the visionary women who were the force behind the institution’s creation over 100 years ago, understand the social and historical context of the permanent collection, engage with multiple curated contemporary exhibitions, and explore the architecture of our historic buildings. We take an interactive approach to learning and tours can be arranged for any group size and age.
