One to One Micro-Concerts by the Newport String Project

Navigating today’s challenging social and cultural landscape has inspired artists of all disciplines to experiment and innovate. It is in this spirit that the Newport String Project and the Newport Art Museum strive to connect with audiences in new safe and meaningful ways. The Museum is delighted to partner with the Newport String Project in offering One to One micro-concerts, featuring one musician and one listener, in various locations on the Museum’s beautiful campus. Following each concert, the Museum will offer listeners a guided mini-tour of the current (aptly titled) exhibit, “Complex Terrain(s)”, which explores the connection between our human experience and the natural world.

One to One Micro-Concerts are fifteen minute personalized chamber music performances with a Newport String Project musician. Musicians and listeners will wear masks and be physically distanced.

One to One Micro-Concerts are Free, though donations to Newport String Project are welcome. Advance Registration recommended.

Mini Guided Museum Tours of Complex Terrain(s) are free with Museum Admission. Drop in, no registration required.

The Newport String Project is a chamber music performance and youth mentoring initiative that aims to build a community that crosses boundaries of generation, heritage, and economic circumstances through access to inspiring musical experiences for all. The project is dedicated to exploring the intersection between artistry, education and social change.
