Join Museum Education staff in the galleries for a private tour of the Newport Art Museum’s new exhibitions and professional development workshop. This workshop is the first of two winter educator workshops that will focus on a selection of current exhibition and permanent collection artworks in a variety of media, demonstrations of artwork – related hands on projects, and object-based learning strategies for the classroom. Especially designed for K-12 educators, this workshop is an opportunity to engage with colleagues, enhance your practice, sample art making activities, and experience how inspiring an art museum tour can be for young minds.
