1 sessions
Saturday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Teaching Artist:
Heather Meehan
Come join us and The Daisy Edition, a small woman-owned farm in Newport County, for a hands-on floral workshop. Work with fresh, locally grown blooms and learn to create your own stunning arrangement.
Discover different flower varieties and categories, plus special techniques to make your designs truly pop and last longer. Flowers and a vase are provided, and each participant will take home a beautiful table arrangement to brighten any space. Perfect for all flower lovers!
Heather Meehan, the founding farmer of The Daisy Edition, got her start at Quail Hill Farm in Amagansett NY, a 20 acre Pick-Your-Own CSA, in 2021. It was there she first fell in love with growing flowers, and she went on to hone her flower farming and floral design skills at Island Time Farm in Shelter Island, NY and as the former manager at Little State Flower Co. in Tiverton, RI. Heather’s favorite moments are early mornings spent harvesting dahlias and anytime one of her cats crawls into her lap.
