January Selection: The Lioness of Boston, by Emily Franklin

*A Must Read Book* –Town & Country

In honor of the Museum’s current exhibition, Unfinished Business, we have selected to start 2024 with The Lioness of Boston, a deeply evocative novel of the life of Isabella Stewart Gardner, a daring visionary who created an inimitable legacy in American art and transformed the city of Boston itself. Frankin’s book is an engaging portrait of what society expected a woman’s life to be, shattered by a courageous, bold yet vulnerable soul who rebelled and was determined to live on her own terms.

We’re delighted that author Emily Franklin will join the discussion via Zoom!

Museum Reads is free for Members, and $5 for yet-to-be Members.
