Independent Clay Studies

July 8, 2026 - August 12, 2026

6 sessions

Wednesday 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Teaching Artist: Charlene Carpenzano

This six-week course is designed for students who have a foundation in clay and are ready to further develop their skills in both wheel throwing and handbuilding. Throughout the session, students will refine techniques, strengthen craftsmanship, and explore more thoughtful approaches to form and function.

Teaching artist Charlene Carpenzano will oversee the course, with visiting teaching artists leading select class sessions throughout the term. These guest artists will guide demonstrations, share their expertise, and provide individualized support as students develop their work. Rather than introducing separate projects, they will work alongside students to strengthen technical skills, support problem-solving, and encourage deeper exploration of each artist’s individual practice.
