An Iliad with True North Theatre
December 6, 2025 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Griswold House
True North Theatre Company brings high quality, professional theater directly to audiences, especially to those with limited access to the arts. They perform in cafeterias, meeting rooms, gyms, libraries; they perform with all the lights on, with minimal tech, and with the audience seated around the performance. They believe theater is richer when everyone is in the audience, and everyone deserves to see great art.
The group will be presenting An Illiad. About An Illiad: The war in Troy is over — and and the Poet saw it all. Back from the front lines, he spins a tale of unquenchable rage, disputatious gods, and grieving widows. An Illiad weaves humanity’s unshakeable attraction to warfare with the music of the muses, capturing the contradictory conditions of glory and violence.
Come enjoy this performance in the Ilgenfritz Gallery with the backdrop of Sean Landers: Lost at Sea!
