Wet Paint Plein Air: Sachuest Point
July 9, 2025 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sachuest Point
Join us for a unique plein air painting opportunity at Sachuest Point!
Inspired by artist-founder Helena Sturtevant’s love of painting “en plein air”, translating to “in the open air”, the Museum is planning outdoor art-making opportunities ahead of Wet Paint 2025 on Saturday, August 9th.
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is a 242-acre coastal refuge in Middletown, Rhode Island, managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It’s a significant stopover and wintering area for migratory birds, offering various habitats like salt marshes, rocky shorelines, and shrublands. The refuge provides opportunities for birdwatching, hiking, and exploring different ecosystems.
Bring your art supplies and enjoy a morning of quiet art making alongside other artists outside at this beautiful nature preserve and get inspired!
Registration is appreciated but not required.
