Join Newport Pride for Pride: In Retrospect at the Newport Art Museum – a unique photography exhibit that will transport you on an emotional journey through the history of the fight for equal rights in the LGBTQIA+ community. Step inside defining moments of queer history through captivating visual storytelling of pride marches, including the events leading up to the Stonewall riots and the first Queer Liberation March of 1970. 

The Newport Art Museum is pleased to exhibit this important collection of images curated by Newport Pride from May 27th through July 9th, 2023 in honor of Pride Month in June.

Celebrate love and inclusivity as we kick off Pride month with the Pride: In Retrospect Opening Reception on June 2 from 5:00-7:30 pm, one of four exhibitions featured at the Museum’s Spring Exhibitions Opening Reception.
