K-12 Educator Workshop
December 29, 2020 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Recharge with art over the winter break.
Unsure how discussing an art object could enhance your Middle East History lesson, provide an opening to discuss race relations, or inspire thoughtful autobiographical writing? Join Museum Education staff for an engaging, virtual educator workshop and hone object-based learning skills designed enabling you to confidently incorporate visual arts content in your English Language Arts, History, Humanities, or Fine Arts curriculum. Whether you are teaching remotely, in the classroom, or have chosen to homeschool, the Museum’s new online resources make learning through visual stories memorable, meaningful, and EASY.
Aligned with Common Core State Standards, learning to “read” visual information is imperative in an image saturated world, and builds key critical thinking skills. Join us for a dialogue driven workshop that will walk you through sample lessons using a variety of artworks.
