6 sessions
Thursdays 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Teaching Artist:
Kate Hickman
This introductory gouache workshop is for those who want to feel more confident and in control with their painting—whether you’re just getting started or already have an established style. With an individualized approach to your goals, we’ll dive into the core techniques that make gouache easier to work with like how to layer without lifting, keep colors vibrant, manage water control, and troubleshoot common issues like reactivation and muddy blends. You’ll get hands-on practice, guided demos, and plenty of space to explore in your own style, with tips that apply to everything from bold, graphic work to soft, detailed pieces.
All skill levels are welcome, however the course will be geared towards introductory artists.
