6 sessions
Thursdays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Teaching Artist:
Cindy Gordon
Clay hand building is a hands-on pottery class where students will learn to create unique, custom-made ceramic pieces using traditional hand-building techniques. Unlike wheel throwing, hand-building allows individuals to shape the clay by hand, using various methods such as pinching, coiling, and slab-building.
In this class, students will explore the world of hand-building and gain a deep understanding of the creative process involved in working with clay. The class covers basic to intermediate techniques, starting with an introduction to different types of clay and tools.
