Teaching Artist: Laura Travis

Adults only

Limestone carving is a satisfying skill, with numerous creative applications for gardens and landscaping. In this 12-hour introductory-level workshop, join Teaching Artist Laura Travis and learn to carve scraps of limestone in relief, creating sculptural artwork that can be displayed outdoors throughout the year. Bring your own sketches or utilize teacher references, and in the process explore an art form that has graced buildings and monuments since ancient times! All tools needed are provided for use. If students would like to purchase a chisel, some will be available for sale.  Please note: This workshop does not include instruction in carving letters. This class is for Adults only.
