Gift of Artwork
Gifts of art, or funds to purchase art, ensure that the Newport Art Museum can continue to build its permanent collection with artworks that complement and augment those works already accessioned.
Outright gifts allow you to receive a charitable deduction for tax purposes. Fractional gifts allow you to keep partial ownership of your work and receive a charitable deduction for tax purposes.
Bequests allow you to keep your artwork for the remainder of your life while ensuring it will have a proper home after your death and lessening the burden of estate taxes on your heirs.
Promised gifts allow you to continue to enjoy the use of your work while making a commitment of a future gift to the Museum either during lifetime or through a bequest.
Making a Gift of Art: Please provide as much information about the artwork as possible - artist's name, date of creation, title, medium, country of origin, size of the work, and other relevant information, along with photographs of the piece. This will help us assess whether the work is suitable for our mission. After initial consideration, the Museum's Senior Curator may request to see the work of art in person.
