Beginner Crochet: Farmers Market Bag

Learn the fundamentals of crochet in this beginner-friendly class. Students will begin with the basics, learning to manage the hook and yarn, practice simple stitches, and build skills step by step. Throughout the process, you’ll develop the confidence to continue crocheting independently. By the end, you’ll complete a stylish and functional farmers market bag to take home.

Please note this class is designed for ages 16+.
About Teaching Artist:
Keelin Maloney is a Providence native and textile lover. She has a background in hand knitting, machine knitting, weaving and natural dyeing. Her years in fine art school have lead her to create knit collections and participate in local sustainable fashion projects.

Newport Art Museum classes are held in the Museum School at the Coleman Center for Creative Studies, at 26 Liberty Street. Please park in our museum parking lots or on Liberty Street.
