Wet Paint at the Newport Art Museum: 31st Annual Celebration

Art | Artists | Auction | Community Favorite!

Join us for the 31st Annual Wet Paint event at the Newport Art Museum! This beloved celebration features a silent auction of original, artist-donated artwork, family-friendly activities, live music, delicious food and much more. Every year, hundreds of artworks, including many that are “still wet,” are created by artists of all ages and techniques. All proceeds benefit the Museum’s exhibitions, acquisitions, and collection care. Don’t miss this fantastic event!

New Improvements This Year:

  • Online Bidding: All bidding will take place online, so you can bid here or from afar!
  • Early Artwork Listings: Artworks will be added online in the days leading up to Wet Paint
  • Watch List Creation: Check in often to create your “watch list” and keep track of your favorite pieces
  • Support Available: Staff will be on hand at the Museum to support bidders
  • Auction Closing: The online auction will close on Saturday at 11:59pm

Artists Preview Party

Back by popular demand! Join us to celebrate the Wet Paint artists and sponsors at our festive preview party, featuring drinks and light fare.
Space is limited, registration is required.
Tickets $100
*Wet Paint Artists will receive 2 complimentary tickets upon artwork drop off (see below)

FAQ:

Artwork Sizes: Artists may submit artwork in any medium, including sculpture, as long as it fits within a 12″x 12″x 12″ size for adults or 8″x 8″x 8″ for youth

Donation: 100% of the artwork sales will be donated to the Museum
