Founded in 1912, the Newport Art Museum is one of the oldest continuously operating and most highly regarded art museums and schools of its kind in the country.
The Newport Art Museum’s collection consists of approximately 3,000 works of art in a range of media including works on paper (prints, drawings, watercolors, and photographs), paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, installation works, and textiles and is expanding to include new media. Concentrated on American art and contemporary art, the Museum’s collection includes works of art from the 18th century to present.
As a valued Newport Art Museum member you're entitled to free admission, are invited to members' only events and exhibition tours, receive discounts on Museum School class tuition and public program tickets, and will be supporting the Museum's mission to share a diversity of art and experiences to our Newport community and beyond.

Due to the limitations imposed on large public events this summer season as a result of the coronavirus, we’re introducing our “reimagined” gala Artists’ Ball: Gala at Home. The date is the same, but the venue has changed, from our Museum to your home!
On Friday, July 17th, we’ll deliver a gourmet dinner prepared by Blackstone Caterers, including hors d’oeuvres, soup, salad, main course, (with a vegetarian option), and dessert to your home. The menu is attached. All reheating instructions will be delivered with the dinner. A specially selected Pinot Noir from Oregon from Allen’s Wine & Spirits will be included, with the highest tier ticket also receiving a bottle of Rotari sparkling wine. Fresh flowers by Wild Season Florals are also included. DJ Megan Taylor will create a special dance mix, available on Spotify.
Delivery locations include Aquidneck Island, Jamestown, and Bristol. The exact time of delivery will be determined and communicated at a later date.
Gala at Home tickets must be purchased by June 30. The number of dinners is limited, so thank you for reserving early.
All proceeds benefit the arts programming and exhibitions of the Newport Art Museum. Your support is more important than ever at this time. The tax-deductible donation amounts are: $698 for the $1,000 level, $3,471 for the $4,000, and $6,997 for the $8,000.
We are very grateful to our 2020 Artists’ Ball, now “Gala at Home” sponsor, Newport Lamp & Shade Company.
If you are unable to participate on Friday, July 17, or live outside our Gala at Home delivery areas, you can still support the Newport Art Museum with a tax-deductible gift of any amount. Thank you for your generosity during these challenging times!
