5:30 pm - 7:30 pm The Museum School

Therapeutic art and empowerment workshops for local survivors of domestic and non domestic violence.

Cultivate joy, creativity, and well-being through hands-on art making and mindfulness exercises designed to empower your inner creative. Join experienced Art Educators at the Newport Art Museum’s Museum School studios for monthly workshops that empower, facilitate self-discovery, and foster resilience through therapeutic arts expression.

Nature Mandalas

Celebrate a strong, resilient, beautiful you through the creation of nature mandalas! Contemplate your gifts and strengths as you create an individual mandala in the first session. Then contribute to a large group mandala in the second workshop. Allow the gentle voices of art and nature to uplift you in this positive, creative experience that combines nature mandalas, short introspective writing in a supportive environment.

Mandalas are ephemeral and will not be taken home. However, each participant will, at the second session, receive a framed photograph of their individual mandala created during the first session.

The Creative Community Series is a free and private art workshop for survivors of domestic and non-domestic violence. We provide a safe and confidential environment for participants to freely create and express themselves through art-making amongst peers. Experience the transformative power of art in a supportive environment with The Creative Community Series.
