Visual Storytelling

Widely considered the most important African American lithographer of his generation, master draughtsman Joseph Norman has sought to retell hidden, muted, or silenced stories of the African American experience. His expressive work and use of symbolic motifs communicate a vivid sense of place, history, struggle and hope.
