Unexpected Paintings: The Back Story
January 26, 2019 -
Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Join us for an experimental painting workshop. We will be working in acrylics on acetate, discovering the unexpected paintings that appear as a result. This mysterious process is actually quite simple and, although not archival in nature, the finished works can be enjoyed as your process is revealed. No prior painting experience necessary.
The instructor will provide the acetate
Supplies to bring:
Participants should bring an array of acrylic paints and a number of brushes, as well as lunch. Students should also bring a number of source materials such as photographs. Studio clothing recommended. You can go to Dick Blick and search for the wish list “NewportArtMuseum Unexpected Paintings” and find all the paints and brushes suggested.
