Myths & Magic
Ages: 9-12

Design your own legendary creatures! Step into the world of ancient myths and legends. Exploring a variety of materials, campers will create their own mythical beasts inspired by ancient stories from Egypt, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Each day will bring a new adventure in creativity and storytelling.

About the teaching artist:

Jenna DeAngelis is a painter who grew up in the East Bay and is currently based out of Warren Rhode Island. Her work is heavily influenced by the natural world as she searches for familiar shapes and potential narrative. She believes art is for everyone and enjoys incorporating process based art making and material exploration within her teaching.

Location and Parking

Newport Art Museum classes are held in the Museum School at the Coleman Center for Creative Studies, at 26 Liberty Street. Please park in our museum parking lots or on Liberty Street.
