This class is a three day workshop focusing on drawing and painting the portrait. Each class will be six hours long, with a break for lunch. We will begin each class with short drawings and a lesson or demo. Then we will begin a long pose that will continue through lunch. The class will conclude with a critique.
Supplies to bring:
Newsprint pad and charcoal or sketchpad for short drawings.
Oil, acrylic or watercolor paints.
Canvas, board or paper.
If students have questions about specific materials, they may contact the instructor.
Location and Parking:
Newport Art Museum School classes are held in the Coleman Center, located at 26 Liberty Street.
Please park in our museum parking lots.
