Beginner Drawing

April 30, 2024 - May 28, 2024

6 sessions

Tuesday 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Taught by Allie Elia

In this class students will learn the fundamental drawing skills necessary to bring their creative ideas to life on paper! Students will be introduced to basic drawing techniques such as line, mark making, form, value, and composition development using a variety of materials including graphite, charcoal, and ink. Through direct observational studies, students will learn how to translate what they see in front of them into works of art – a skill which can be applied to other art forms such as painting, watercolor, printmaking, and digital arts. While we will use direct observational studies of still life setups in class to learn each new skill, students will also have the time and opportunity to work with content of their choice and even apply color to their works. All supplies included! Adults only.
