In this expressive acrylic painting class, you will explore the dynamic and versatile nature of acrylics. Designed for beginners, this course invites you to unleash your creativity while learning essential painting skills.
Over six weeks, you’ll master techniques such as blending, layering, texture creation, and color mixing. Each session includes guided exercises and ample time for personal exploration, allowing you to experiment freely with your ideas and style.
Focusing on intuition and spontaneity, you’ll be encouraged to let your imagination flow, creating unique pieces that reflect your vision. All supplies are included, so come ready to paint and let your creativity shine! All supplies included.
About your teaching artist:
Anna-Marie is a painter with about a decade of experience, she believes that art is for everyone. Her passion lies in helping others discover their creative voice through painting, regardless of experience. To her, painting is a journey of self-expression. In her classes, she wants to inspire confidence and joy in exploration without fear of perfection.
Location and Parking
Newport Art Museum classes are held in the Museum School at the Coleman Center for Creative Studies, at 26 Liberty Street. Please park in our museum parking lots or on Liberty Street.
