In this workshop students will learn the ins and outs of tapestry weaving on a frame loom.They will learn how to design and plan a tapestry project. Along with various amounts of tapestry techniques, both traditional and contemporary. A great workshop to explore color, texture and design.
This workshop format would fit an amateur or advanced crocheters. Supplies included
About Teaching Artist:
Keelin is a Providence native and textile lover! She has a background in hand knitting, machine knitting, weaving and natural dyeing. Her years in fine art school have lead her to create knit collections and participate in local sustainable fashion projects.

Newport Art Museum classes are held in the Museum School at the Coleman Center for Creative Studies, at 26 Liberty Street. Please park in our museum parking lots or on Liberty Street.
