Wake + Create

Join us on select Saturdays for engaging family-oriented programming designed to inspire young minds and satisfy the curiosity of every member of the family. Each Wake + Create is uniquely curated based on a theme, includes a Guided Close Looking Tour of works in the galleries, followed by engaging art making activities geared for ages 6-10, their families and caregivers. Wake + Create is generously supported by the Hartfield Foundation. Tickets are free with the cost of admission.

This month’s project:

Come join us for an exciting foray into the medium of stained glass! This month, wake+create participants will begin by looking at the stained glass work of the American artist John La Farge. We will then discuss how stained glass is made, its 1,000 year history, and then we’ll end the morning by designing and creating our own stained glass inspired artworks.
