Tree Path Project & Sidewalk Parade

We’re pleased to partner again with the Newport Health Equity Zone on the Tree Path Project – a collaborative, outdoor, public, community art-making initiative in the North End. This project is a playful, and artful, activation of the vibrant green space of Miantonomi Park by the North End’s passionate and energetic residents and community organizations. The Park will be transformed into an outdoor gallery of trees covered in unique, original, mixed-media “sleeves”, each completed by a different resident or group.

The opening of the 2nd Tree Path Project coincides with the 3rd Annual Sidewalk Parade and annual Hope Tree planting by the Arboretum Society in Miantonomi Park. The day’s celebration will include art making, dance performances by young performers from RI Ballet Theater, concert by the young musicians in the Newport String Project, a visit from the big Bucket Truck, refreshments and more!
