Oil Painting En Plein Air (Register by May 12)

The weather warms and we gear up for painting “en plein air”. Take first steps painting outdoors in five basic landscape sites. We will learn how to make nature’s color and light happen on your canvas, in the luscious medium of oil paint.

Supplies provided
Extra paint, palettes, palette knives

Supplies to bring Day 1
10 canvas panels 9×12″, students should also bring a Plein Air easel, either one that has storage included such as this one, or this one, in which case students should also bring a tool box to hold their painting supplies.

Location and Parking
Newport Art Museum School classes are held in the Coleman Center, located at 26 Liberty Street. Please park in our museum parking lots.
