Fiber Arts

August 1, 2022 - August 5, 2022

5 days

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Taught by Megan Hall

Ages 13-16

Explore the world of fiber art! Students will create two finished wall hangings perfect for adding color and personality to their spaces at home. One wall hanging will be woven using a lap loom and the other will be created using the process of batik (a wax-resist fabric dyeing technique). In between the weaving and fabric dyeing, students will be taught various methods for making knotted bracelets, necklaces and anklets.

A $20 materials fee will be added to this camp’s tuition to cover the cost of looms, which students will keep after the camp week ends.

Museum members receive a discount on tuition!
