Exploring Sculpture

July 11, 2022 - July 15, 2022

5 days

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Taught by Erica Connolly

Ages 9-12

This sculpture class invites students to get excited about working in 3D. We’ll begin by building forms and abstract sculptural designs using a variety of colorful papers and cardstocks. We’ll then introduce various shapes and sizes of cardboard, wire, fabrics, natural materials, recyclables, found objects, and papier mache techniques to create unique and inspiring 3D works. Campers will also have the opportunity to reflect upon scale and experience working very tiny, as well as very large.
