Beginner Bookbinding
September 8, 2022 - October 6, 2022
5 sessions
Thursday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Taught by
Andre Lee Bassuet
In this introductory bookmaking course, students will learn five bookbinding structures along with the basic use of bookbinding tools and materials. The class will explore non-adhesive structures: accordions, pamphlets, stab binding, coptic and long stitch. Handmade books are ideal for self-publishing art or literature, journaling or scrapbooking. The art of books is meditative and rewarding for artists, writers or crafters who want to present their work in a simple book form.
