PM Musical Picnics Begin June 30 with Lucky Soles

Newport, RI: The Newport Art Museum's summer music series, PM Musical Picnics, is back. The series has been a favorite al fresco entertainment deal for locals and tourists since 1994. PM Picnics are held once a week on the grounds of the Museum's historic Griswold House at 76 Bellevue Avenue, Newport in the early evening hours. 2010 summer concerts begin on Wednesday, June 30 with the soulful grooves of Lucky Soles.
The Newport Art Museum's 2010 PM Musical Picnic series is sponsored by NewportFed. On summer concert evenings, families, couples and friends can relax on blankets and lawn chairs amd enjoy the music and a light meal brought from home. Admission is $5 for individual Museum members, $10 for individual non-members $10 for member households, and $15 for non-member households. (No advance reservations.) June 30 (Rain date July 14) Lucky Soles Lucky Soles plays soulful grooves intertwining elements of rhythm and blues, soul, jazz, funk and rock ‘n roll.
July 28 (Rain date August 11) Slippery Sneakers Spicy, high energy sounds performed by Slippery Sneakers bring together traditional and contemporary Cajun/Zydeco roots music originating from Southwest Louisiana.
August 25 (Rain date September 1) Chelley, Bill and Dyl Enjoy good music, good times as Chelley, Bill and Dyl entertain you with country, blues, jazz and rhythm and blues melodies.
