NEWPORT, RI: Do you want to take an art class, but are not sure which one is best suited for you? Or are you new to the art world and want to try something fun and different? Stop by the Coleman Center for Creative Studies for an open house on Tuesday, April 6, 4:30 - 6:00. The Coleman Center is located in the Kahn building at the Newport Art Museum, 76 Bellevue Avenue in Newport. Visitors can try various art-making techniques including the potter's wheel, digital photography, drawing and sculpture. Coleman Center faculty and staff will be available to offer hands-on help and answer all your questions, so you can choose the right classes for you and your family. Receive a10% tuition discount if you register two weeks prior to the class start date. The Coleman Center Open House is free and open to the public
The Coleman Center is offering over 80 different classes, camps and workshops this spring for people of all ages and levels of artistic ability.
Newport Art Museum members save on classes, camps and workshops. Register any combination of family members for two or more summer art classes, camps or workshops through June 30 and receive a $10 discount on a new Household (or Military Household) Membership, or on an upgrade to Household Membership.
