Open House - Newport Art Museum's Coleman Center

Advice, trials, registration for winter classes
Saturday, January 9, 2010 - 10 am - 2 pm

NEWPORT, RI: The Newport Art Museum's art school, the Coleman Center for Creative Studies , is hosting an Open House on Saturday, January 9 from 10 am to 2 pm in the Kahn Building, part of the Museum's three-building campus at 76 Bellevue Avenue. Visitors can try various art-making techniques including the potter's wheel, digital photography, drawing and sculpture. Education staff and Coleman Center faculty will be on hand to demonstrate techniques, answer questions about winter classes and take registrations. This event is free and open to the public. The Coleman Center is offering over 80 different classes this winter for people of all ages and levels of artistic ability.
