Tuesday, December 08, 2009
NEWPORT, RI: For over twenty years, that unique little quarter in the Newport Art Museum known as the Griffon Shop has been a treasure seeker's pot of gold. Crammed full of jewelry, collectibles and small antiques, it is a shopping adventure that provides many eureka moments. In addition, it is now featuring members' original artwork selected by a juried process.
The Griffon Shop is seeking new consignments for its traditional business. Consignments are taken between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on most Wednesdays and Saturdays. (Exceptions this month are December 23rd, 26th and 30th.) The Shop is looking for small quality household items, china, ceramics and jewelry.
If you are interested in an enjoyable volunteer experience in the Griffon Shop, please call 848-8200 for more information. Volunteers can pick their own hours and will be an important part of the progressive, yet fabled Newport Art Museum.
