Youth Birthday Party Themes

Magical Kingdom Children will fashion royal capes, fancy crowns, glittery magical wands, and beautiful beaded jewelry. Ages 3-6.

Magical Fairies and Flowers Children will create fairies' wings, beautiful tiaras, and magic wands with a floral and butterfly theme. Boys will make masks and transform themselves into frogs, ogres or other mythological monsters. Ages 4-6.

Ocean Creatures Children will create three-dimensional ocean creatures using paper, paints, and glitter. Ages 5-8.

Carnival Children will make beautiful festive masks, hats, and noisemakers. Carnival guarantees fun for all! Ages 4-12.

Pet Portraits Choose the animal; whether it is a turtle, hamster, cat or dog and we will develop a fun series of art projects - whether it is jewelry, masks, paintings or sculpture! Ages 4-10.

Pirates Children will construct swords, sashes, eye patches and hats. They will magically transform themselves into swashbuckling buccaneers! Ages 5-8.

The Art of Adornment Children will bead, decoupage, and paint to make brooches, pendants, and bracelets, plus decorate a box to carry them home in. Ages 6-12.

Treasure Boxes Children will decoupage boxes with chosen decorative pictures and exotic embellishments. Each child will enjoy making a special piece of jewelry or a secret treasure to hide inside the box. Ages 6-12.

Stamp it Out! Children will stamp a series of pictures to make a memorable book commemorating the day! Ages 6-12

Unicorns and More Children will make their own unicorn tapestries full of magic. Ages 7-12

Comic Strips Children will enjoy creating their own comic strip boards and stories whether they're humorous, action, or superhero. Ages 7-12

Clay Projects Children can make platters, bowls or clay sculptures of animals. Open to all ages. Pick up of the fired pieces to be discussed. All ages.

Parties are held on Saturdays and Sundays 1-3 p.m., depending upon availability. To book your child's party, call 848-2787 or visit the Museum's Education Office at the Coleman Center for Creative Studies in person. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. -5 p.m. The cost of a party for ten to fifteen children and two adults is $12/child for Museum Members or $14/child for Non-Members. Goody bags are included. Parties that include parents are limited to twelve children.

Full payment is due with phone registration. Parties are no longer than two hours, allowing one to one and a half hours for the art lesson. You bring the utensils and refreshments; we provide the fun!
